Penny Farthing Club: 24 hours of continuous endeavour, suffering and world record attempts
Members of the Penny Farthing Club are no strangers to setting Guinness World Records – they hold many including the largest number of Penny Farthing riders in a velodrome race, the fastest speeds over many distances and the largest number of Penny Farthing riders in a stack. This event takes place at Palmer Park Velodrome, Wokingham Road, Reading, RG6 1LF and is supported by REDA (Reading’s Economy & Destination Agency). On Thursday 6th August commencing 1700 hrs and throughout Friday 7th August a series of new and exciting Penny Farthing Guinness World Records will be attempted on Penny Farthing bicycles.

Events kick off at 1:00 PM on August 6th and continue through August 7th, concluding at 5:00 PM.
Organized with the support of REDA, this event promises excitement and history in the making. Don’t miss your chance to witness cycling legends in action!
This event is free to view for the public and all the riders welcome the support at any time during the 24 hour record setting period, including at 0300 – 0400 hrs!
